In today’s episode of Love, Curvy Yoga, we interview Tanya Geisler – who helps everyone find their recipe for their personal brand of joy.
Inside this episode, you’ll hear us talk more about:
- How thinking back onto childhood and relationship with her body molded her later in life.
- Why we are of the thinking that we don’t deserve success
- How we recognize if we are in the Imposter Complex
- How to step into your Starring Role
- And, so much more!
Meet Our Guest, Tanya Geisler
Tanya Geisler is Leadership Coach (CPCC, ACC) with a penchant for clarity and an abhorrence of the Impostor Complex. She’s coached hundreds of people who were ready to step into the starring roles of their lives. She wrote The 12 Lies of the Impostor Complex (and One Truth), The Joy Pages, created Board of Your Life and the transformational 12-week Step into Your Starring Role program, is a blogger for the wildly popular The Daily Love, has served as contributor and was featured in Canadian Living, and is an in-demand TEDx speaker who talks with great passion about the Impostor Complex, personal leadership, on all things joy, meaning and purpose (just try to stop her).
It is her indomitable belief that if everyone knew their own unique recipe for their personal brand of joy, they’d hold the key to shining in their life, in their work and in their life’s work. (It really does change everything.)

Thank you, Darling A, for sharing me and my work with your beloved community. You’re a brilliant, generous light. Love you.
The feeling is mutual, lovely! Thank you for the insightful conversation!
Lovely!! <3
Reminder to add the link to the video of her TEDx talk (you say you will at the beginning of the podcast). 🙂 xo
Thank you, Willo! Added! 🙂
I heart you, Ms O’Brien. And of course, YOU Ms Guest-Jelley.
I wanted to stop by to tell you how much this resonated with me. I listened to it last night after a day of feeling anxious about being in my new job and wanting to go back to my old job because I knew I was good at that one. As I was listening to the podcast I recognised the voice of my Imposter Complex and started to shift the way I think about not just my work but also who I am as a human being.
I also love the idea of finding your ‘joy’ – and that it’s different for everyone. I’m trying to find the right word for it – it’s a combination of passionate, fulfilled and challenged – but not any one of those things on its own.
Thank you Anna for choosing wonderful, thoughtful and inspiring guests and bringing us into parts of the world’s consciousness we might not yet have experienced. And thank you Tanya for so concisely espousing these concepts which are really pretty complex!
How lovely and generous of you to share your thoughts and thanks, Erin.
Your brand of joy may be a never-before-heard word. Play with it. It’s YOUR brand of joy, no one else’s.
And I’m so glad you’re now able to recognize the Impostor Complex for what it is. That brine ME such joy.
xxo
